Complete Details and Conditions:
Eleventh Transmission is proud to announce our first fiction contest for Alberta writers ONLY. You must
be a resident of Alberta in order to participate. There is no required theme or topic and we eagerly
anticipate a wide variety of submissions. Stories will be assessed on overall quality of writing.
Submissions will be blind reviewed by our illustrious panel of judges. Judges are to be determined.
Stories should be:
Prizes:
First Place: $50 and publication
Second Place: $30 and Publication
Third Place: $20 and Publication
Additional prizes to be determined.
Stories finishing from First to Third in the contest will receive publication in Eleventh Transmission within
three months following the announcement of the contest winners. Stories finishing outside the top three
are still eligible for publication at the discretion of the authors of the story and the editors of Eleventh
Transmission.
Winners will be announced in the May 2008 issue of Eleventh Transmission.
How to Enter:
Email your submission in an MS Word-compatible format or pasted in the body of the email to
contest@eleventhtransmission.org. Include author name, complete mailing address, and phone number
in the body of the email only. All contact information will be removed from your submission prior to your
story being sent to the judges. Be sure to put "Alberta Fiction Contest" as well as your name into the
subject line of the email.

- Previously unpublished.
- Not longer than 3000 words.
- Not submitted elsewhere for the duration of the contest.
