Eleventh Transmission Advertising Policy

The goal of Eleventh Transmission is to foster the development of art, activism, community involvement,
and awareness. We want the magazine to be not only an alternative to less nourishing forms of
entertainment such as television, but also to be a starting point for greater involvement and support for
what goes on in the Calgary community.
For this reason we are seeking advertising from Calgary-based businesses and for local events. Large
corporations have large funds for advertising, and so have access to the most widely viewed advertising
avenues. It costs a lot to advertise on television and in the newspaper. As an emerging business we
know this ourselves. This is one reason why we only want advertising from local businesses. For a rate
much cheaper than mainstream media and even the other Calgary-based alternative media sources,
you can promote your business or event in a space that is explicitly devoted to growing the Calgary
community.
